It was on a trip to Rome that I became intimately acquainted with all the Kosher restaurants in the city—all of which were located in the Jewish Ghetto. I decided to Illustrate all of my favorite restaurants on a guide map.

I took my inspiration for the lettering from the chalkboards that advertise the day's specials outside each restaurant, combined with traditional typefaces found in Jewish scripture.
